The Board of Directors of the Third Tashkent International Film Forum ‘Golden Guepard’, which was held on October 19-24 as part of Style.Uz Art Week, announces the list of winners of the in-competition program of the film forum.
As the Third Tashkent International Film Forum ‘Golden Guepard’ nears its end, members of the jury for features, shorts and animated films are poised to select the winner entries. The key event of Day Three was the international conference ‘National Cinema in a Global World’, followed by three workshops as well as the final demonstration of in- and out-of-competition films.
Tashkent International Film Forum ‘Golden Guepard’ is in its midway as 3 days of the Forum have already rolled by and another 3 days remain. The agenda of the third day on October 21 included press conferences, screening of 2 in-competition features, and 5 animated and 5 short films. Four workshops were led by Hans Schlegel, Sergei Selianov, Yukihiro Matsumoto and Iskander Aminov. Screening of out-of-competition films, Program of short films “Beginning”, Panorama of Contemporary Uzbek Cinema and National Festival of Mass films “On a Par with the Audience”.
Feature and documentary film demonstrations, workshops by Iran’s Abbas Kiarostami and Germany’s Hans Schlegel as well as a meeting with French documentary film maker Marion Stalens and upbeat discussions made up the second day of the Golden Guepard Film Forum. The agenda also included film screening as part of the Panorama of Uzbek Cinema and National Festival of Mass Films.
The Third Golden Guepard Film Forum kicked off on October 19. The first of the six days of cinematic razzmatazz included two press conferences with members of the juries for features, shorts and animated films and workshops. The day concluded with a red-carpet opening ceremony for the film forum, ushering in days of film demonstrations and workshops that will culminate with an Awards Ceremony.
A host of local and international celebrities as well as film industry professionals took to the red carpet as the Third Tashkent International Film Forum ‘Golden Guepard’ kicked off at Hotel International Tashkent. Unlike the previous two editions, the opening ceremony brought together the crowd in a more informal ambience, which however did not detract from the grandeur of the event.
The Selection Committee of the Third Tashkent International Film Forum ‘Golden Guepard’, scheduled to be held on October 19-24 as part of Style.Uz Art Week, presents the first list of films that will participate in the in-competition part of the upcoming cinematic event.
Within the framework of the non-competitive program of the III Tashkent International Film Forum «Golden Guepard», the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan and French Institute present the retrospective of French films with participation of famous actresses: Sandrine Bonnaire, Isabelle Huppert, Morion Cotillard, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Leila Bekhti.
Tashkent International Film Forum “Golden Guepard” and the Ambassy of the Czech Republic will present contemporary Czech films and fairy tales within the framework of the non-competition program. On July 18, the National Agency "Uzbekkino" carried on negotiations on the upcoming Film Forum.
The General Board of Directors of Tashkent International Film Forum "Golden Guepard" moves the application deadline for feature, short and animated films to August 1, 2013.
